An encounter has started between security forces and terrorists in Pandoshan area of ​​Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir. Both the injured civilians have been admitted to a hospital in Srinagar for treatment. Cloudburst kills 3 laborers in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam

Three laborers were killed in a cloudburst in central Kashmir's Budgam district on Monday. An official said that when the cloud burst, some laborers were working in a brick kiln in Chandpora. Three laborers got hit by it. He said that after the incident, the three laborers have been admitted to a government hospital in Budgam. He died during treatment.


According to the official, the laborers who died have been identified as Salim Mansoori (45 years), Kaiser Mansoori (20 years) and Mohammad Raees (20 years). All three are residents of Bareilly in UP.

Moradabad and Bareilly railway division officers have been stirred since this morning after threatening to blow up several stations including Moradabad, Bareilly, Haridwar through a letter to the railways. The sender of the letter has identified himself as Salim Ansari, Area Commander of Jaish-e-Mohammed. On Sunday, this letter was received by the Roorkee station superintendent of Moradabad division.


Threatened to blow up Uttarakhand CM Dhami too


In this letter, Salim Ansari, who describes himself as the area commander of Jaish-e-Mohammed, has written that on May 21, many railway stations, religious places on May 23, as well as Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will be blown up by bombs. After receiving this threatening letter, RPF and GRP are completely on high alert. Checking is being done in stations and trains. The letter has threatened to blow up Moradabad, Haridwar, Laksar, Dehradun, Rishikesh, Kathgodam railway stations on May 21. On May 23, there has been a threat of attack on religious places like Mansha Devi, Harki Pauri.

The government decided to reconsider several colonial laws in the country since the British era. Under this, the government also filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court on the validity of the sedition law. The central government told the court that it has decided to examine Section 124A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and amend the law. The matter is sub judice in the Supreme Court, which pertains to the case of SG Wombatkere v Union of India.


The government requested the Supreme Court not to waste its time in probing the validity of Section 124A. The Supreme Court was hearing petitions challenging the constitutionality of Section 124A on Monday. Issuing a notice in this matter in July 2021, the central government was questioned whether there was a need for a law after 75 years of independence. The court had also sought the help of the Attorney General in the matter.
